| Description | Talbot Thrive is a non-profit dedicated to promoting healthy and safe outdoor mobility for everyone living, working and visiting Talbot County, Maryland. We promote healthy and safe outdoor mobility for everyone living, working and visiting our quiet corner of Maryland. We are members of the community and we seek to work collaboratively with community partners and elected officials and to ensure people can walk, run and cycle safely for any trip purpose. Our work is intentional and inclusive. Some of our advocacy work centers around getting local government to establish master plans which adhere to Vision Zero tactics which take into account all vulnerable road users in design and construction. We also host events such as the Tour de Talbot (a bike tour of Talbot County) held annually in June as well as our Rolling Rodeo program which educates youth in safe rolling on bikes, scooters, skateboards while wearing a helmet every time. We also work with local running/walking groups to help get our community moving! |
