| Description | Who We Are: Chesapeake Voyagers, Inc. opened our doors to our Wellness and Recovery Center in Talbot County on July 15, 2009. We believe that wellness & recovery is possible for those who have life experience with mental health and/or addiction. We are a Peer Run nonprofit organization which means that those who either work or volunteer have lived experience with mental health and/or addiction. Our Board of Directors consists of both peers and community members who have a personal or professional interest in the lives of individuals in the community. Our doors are open to everyone! Our Mission: Chesapeake Voyagers, Inc. is dedicated to promoting wellness and recovery by empowering individuals with behavioral health needs to reach their full potential. We strive to reduce isolation by providing a safe, comfortable, and uplifting environment where individuals can meet others in their community, receive one-to-one peer support, obtain helpful information and skills needed to continue on their individual path to wellness and recovery. What is the cost? Everything we offer is free of charge. We do not require a referral and do not require insurance or payment to attend our groups.
