CBF is excited to co-host the Chesapeake Bay Book Club, in partnership with the Talbot County Free Library! You don’t need to be an expert on the Bay or environmental issues to join; you just need a desire to read, learn, and enjoy snacks over a lively discussion. The club meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Talbot County Free Library’s Easton Branch. The Oct. 4 book club pick is a classic: William Warner’s Beautiful Swimmers. This Pulitzer Prize winning book, first published in 1976, explores the ecological importance of the Chesapeake’s blue crabs, and takes a closer look at the lives and culture of the watermen who depend on them. This program is free and open to the public. Contact Hilary Gibson at hgibson@cbf.org with any questions!
