Each year Easton celebrates Irish heritage during our St. Patrick’s Day festivities!

The Easton Saint Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 5:30 p.m. and features over 40 floats, bands, classic cars, and local businesses. The Annual Potato Races take place on Washington Street immediately following the parade. Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations also include an interfaith service (location and time to be announced) and afternoon tea service at the Academy Art Museum at 2 p.m. Come celebrate with us on Saint Patrick’s Day!

Join us for a beautiful weekend in celebration of the tens of thousands of daffodils planted and displayed in the historic, waterfront town of St. Michaels, Maryland.

The 2018 Daffodil Festival is scheduled for next April 14- 15, 2018 which will include the first blooming celebration of  daffodils that were planted throughout the town of St. Michaels as well as festivities designed to encourage visitors and to benefit residents and businesses alike. St. Michaels Community groups, merchants and residents are encouraged to show support through the display of daffodils and through participation in our Daffodil Festival Events.

Join us for our fabulous floral festival parade! Design a float or just be a fan! Saturday, April 14th at 10 a.m. on Talbot Street! Look for exciting details as they come in!

Daffodil Hat Decorating Contest

Get creative! Prizes awarded at the end of the parade for the best daffodil decorated hat!

Historic Daffodil Tour

Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Meet at the St. Michaels Museum. $5 per person. Free admission to the museum.

Daffy-Dog Costume Contest

Dress your pooch in a Daffodil theme! Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in Muskrat Park on Willow Street

Daffodil Lunches

Participating restaurants will offer special Daffodil inspired lunches on Sunday.

Daffodil Decorating Contest

Winning House, Winning Street and Winning Shop Windows in town with a Daffodil-inspired theme will vie for the coveted window decorating contest.

Bands, businesses and local organizations get together to celebrate the town’s Irish roots at the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

 

Enjoy the Mid-Shore’s best holiday parade along the street’s of Easton’s historic business district.

The Chesapeake Independent Blues have been invited to participate in the Talbot Street Parade, as part of the popular Christmas in St. Michaels, to be held on December 9, 2017 in St. Michaels, Maryland. The Blues will be representing the Town’s citizens who served in the county militia during the War of 1812.

The Talbot Street Parade will be starting near Perry Cabin along S.R. 33 at 10:30 in the morning and proceeding south through town to Seymour Avenue. The parade is scheduled to conclude by 12:00 noon. Talbot Street will be closed to traffic starting at approximately 10:15 am, and will not reopen until 12:00 noon.

Following the parade, the Blues will host a private Winter Muster at a nearby location to celebrate the season and plan for the coming year’s programs.

Easton Business Alliance celebrates St Patrick’s Day with a host of activities including an ecumenical service, Irish tea, children’s crafts & activities, parade and potato race all occurring on Thursday March 17, 2016.

Schedule is as follows:
12pm Ecumenical Service at Temple B’Nai Israel (uplifting denominational 45 minute service from various religious leaders in our community)

1-2:30pm Irish Tea at the Academy Art Museum (REGISTER HERE).

4:30pm Children’s Crafts & Activities on the Talbot County Courthouse Lawn (enjoy games and crafts prior to the Downtown Easton parade)

5:30pm Parade (route is as follows: Creamery Lane to Harrison Street to Dover Street to Washington Street to Harrison Street and back to Creamery Lane).REGISTER HERE.

6pm Potato Race (4-person relay race – balance a potato on a spoon and earn the bragging rights and a really big trophy)! REGISTER HERE.
