Exciting summer reading for kids and teens starts on Saturday, June 6th, from 10 am – 2 pm at the Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival at the Talbot County Free Library, 100 W Dover St, in Easton, MD!

Over 20 authors and illustrators will give readings of their books with crafts, displays, and giveaways throughout the day. For a complete schedule, list of authors, and sponsors, click here.

Free swim lessons for kids age 18 mos – 18 years, & adults.

The Talbot Thrive Rolling Rodeo is a one day event which guides youth using bikes, skateboards and scooters through a play obstacle course. Along the way, riders are faced with decisions about safe practice, using hand signals, riding with traffic, and obeying traffic laws. There is a free helmet giveaway program as well as a bike fixit station. Parents and youth are encouraged to attend – bring your bikes (scooters and skateboards) and/or use one of the bike we will have on loan – especially balance bikes for the youngest of users. New bikes will also be raffled off!
