Meet us at Rails to Trails, at the Dover St. & August St. entrance in Easton, for the Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center’s Hispanic Heritage Month Block Party. We bring the community together for a high-energy afternoon of music, dancing, food, vendors, piñatas, a raffle, and more. Come celebrate “Many Cultures, One Heart / Varias Culturas, Un Corazón” with family-friendly fun in the sun. No tickets needed — just show up ready to eat, dance, and join the party!

Stop by the Pines Nursing and Rehab on Thursday, August 20 between 11am and 4pm for an End of Summer Bash to give away for backpack, school supplies, and more to help our kids start the year right. There will food, games, music, giveaways, and live entertainment!
Bring the family for a great day of bonding, making memories, and fun activities, such as face painting, live entertainment, bounce houses an obstacle course, dunk tanks, and other fun activities for everyone! There will be free food, sno-cones, and vendors.

Come celebrate the new playground at Home Run Baker park in Trappe. This will be a fun-filled afternoon of yard games, bubbles, crafts, refreshments from Mama Maria’s, and community partners, such as the Talbot Historical Society, Talbot Free Library and Talbot 250.
Celebrate Easton’s 250th birthday at the Independence Day Carnival June 24 – July 4, 2026
Young residents between the ages of 6 and 18 are challenged to read a biography of Talbot’s own Frederick Douglass and write what they learned on an entry form to turn into the library. Winners can receive exciting gift card prizes! The challenge runs June 1 – September 1 and an award reception will be held on Saturday, September 26th.
This reading challenge is sponsored by the Frederic Douglass Honor Society. Register in person at the Talbot County Free Library.
Exciting summer reading for kids and teens starts on Saturday, June 6th, from 10 am – 2 pm at the Chesapeake Children’s Book Festival at the Talbot County Free Library, 100 W Dover St, in Easton, MD!
