Join the Academy Art Museum for its 16th annual Juneteenth celebration on June 20th—a wonderful, daylong event celebrating the voices, history, and lived experiences of Easton’s historic Hill Community, one of the oldest free African American neighborhoods in the United States. This year’s program focuses on connection, featuring highlights like guided tours of the Hill led by local community members, a teen essay showcase in partnership with Shore Lit, fun hands-on art activities for children, a lecture by the inspiring artist Tawny Chatmon, and so much more.
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on South Harrison and East Dover Streets in Easton, all are welcome to join our community at this free community festival celebrating pride in Delmarva. There will be vendors, live performances, and joy!
The Academy Art Museum is offering “Explorations in Clay” with instructor Loretta Lowman June 29 – July 3, from 9 am to 4 pm for rising 8th – 10th graders.
This class introduces teens to the fundamentals of ceramics through both wheel-throwing and handbuilding techniques. Students will learn essential skills such as centering clay, throwing basic forms on the wheel, and building with slabs and coils by hand. Emphasis is placed on experimentation, craftsmanship, and personal expression as students develop their own functional and sculptural pieces. Instruction includes glazing and surface decoration, with a focus on safe studio practices and creative problem-solving in a supportive studio environment. All materials provided. $400 for members, $450 for non-members.

On Saturday, July 18, we’re celebrating the opening of our newest long-term exhibition, Stories from the Shoreline, with a day of outdoor activities and hands-on discovery across our waterfront campus.
Join us to explore Stories from the Shoreline, an immersive exhibition that amplifies the voices and experiences of people and communities connected to the unique Chesapeake Bay landscape. Through dozens of stories across generations, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of our region’s history, environment, and culture.
To add to the festivities, we’re proud to welcome a diverse group of storytellers and tradition bearers who will share their knowledge and experiences with our guests throughout the day. Guests of all ages can also enjoy hands-on activities inspired by the new exhibition. Come celebrate, learn, and connect with the stories that shape this special place!

Get ready for the 2026 St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in Easton, MD! Join the Easton EDC as we encourage everyone to come downtown and join our annual parade with lively bands and decorated golf carts!
After the parade, stay downtown for our fan favorite St. Patrick’s Day Potato Race hosted by the Talbot County Young Professionals!

Ten Easton-based nonprofits will come together, along with local restaurants and businesses, to create CommUNITY Day: Easton Arts & Culture Celebration.
This new event for Talbot County intends to give local residents a way to be outside, support local businesses and enjoy each other’s company during the fall season.
Partners in this weekend offering things to do or see that showcases their community commitment and their individual missions. Some programs will be offered on both days, and some just on Saturday, with programs ranging from family art activities, learning about feeding birds and bird watching, educational lectures, a drive through art gallery, conservation activities, music and many more.
While some activities will be indoors, many will be outside scattered across various locations in Easton to help people remain socially distant and safe. Most activities are free and some require pre-registration.
Every participating organization is following agreed-upon COVID-related safety protocols, including wearing a mask in indoor spaces, limiting family groups to six people and ensuring groups or individuals are safely six feet apart.
