EASTON – Healthy Talbot is pleased to announce Lisa Rose as the lucky winner of their 2018 Epic Giveaway. The promotion, which began on December 21, 2017, ran through the entire month of January on Healthy Talbot’s social media Facebook business page.
Rose took home gift baskets totaling over $600 in prize value which included wellness, safety, and hygiene products, healthy drinks and snacks, arts and games, workout materials, gift cards, and free admission to local family-friendly activities and services from ice skating to movie-going.
Many Talbot County businesses partnered with Healthy Talbot to make this giveaway possible. Contributing businesses included: Academy Art Museum, Acme Markets, Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, Easton Nails & Spa, Easton Premier Cinemas, EbbTide Wellness Studio, Talbot County Department of Parks and Recreation, Weis Markets, and Easton Family YMCA.
“We would like to thank our donors as well as everyone who participated in this giveaway,” said Erica Horney, Facilitator of Healthy Talbot. “We’re so pleased to see this contest was so well-received. It’s our goal to link the community to local resources that will keep Talbot families engaged in a healthy mindset, from everything from the things they eat to the activities they participate in.”
This contest is the first of its kind that Healthy Talbot has offered to the community. In addition to Rose, Healthy Talbot also awarded two contest participants with gift cards to Amazon: Helen Cummings McQuay and Michele Bernstein.
Rose said the website has been helpful in identifying resources available in the area. “Our website not only shares resources, but we share articles that can be helpful to all families, focusing on topics such as parenting, aging, finances, nutrition, etc.” says Horney.
