Absence: An Engaging Experience of Dementia

This award winning play features Helen Bastion as a 74-year-old matriarch of her family. She has always been in control of her life and her family, including her compliant husband, David, and her resentful daughter, Barb. Family dynamics are explored as the disease develops and brings change to everyone involved. The audience is able to experience, firsthand, the rollercoaster of emotions associated with dementia through humor, challenging situations, personal struggles and victories, and inevitably … heartbreak.
