Healthy Talbot is kicking off a new segment to help you get to know your Talbot County leaders!  First up, Sheriff Joe Gamble with the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office talks hopes, fears, and holidays with Healthy Talbot!

Dream Job when you were a Child:          Professional Football Player

Favorite movie or t.v. show: The original Lonesome Dove

Fears: The Abominable Snow Man and Big Foot

Favorite/Dream Travel Destination: Alaska

Ruin Thanksgiving in 4 words or less:  The Turkey isn’t done!

The holidays are right around the corner. What’s on your wish list this year?  I wish that on Christmas Day my phone doesn’t ring! 

Worst Gift Received: Fruitcake

What do you hope your agency accomplishes over the next 5 years?:  My hope is that this office will be able to effectively meet the growing needs of our citizens.

What is the one thing your agency needs the most to succeed in its mission?: Teaching young police officers how to meet people’s needs.

What do you love about Talbot County? The people and the water!

What do you think Talbot County needs most?  For parents to understand the path to addiction and the strength to empower their children.

Following this interview, you step outside and find a lottery ticket that ends up winning $10 million. What would you do with the money?: Pay off the college loans for my kids, buy a small farm on the water, give to church, give to Talbot Mentors and create a scholarship program for my deputies kids for college!
